What does “delulu” mean?
Delulu is short for delusional, used fondly: believing in an unlikely outcome, usually about a crush or a dream.
Where it comes from
From K-pop fan communities, where fans joked about imagined relationships with their idols. “Delulu is the solulu” (delusion is the solution) spread on TikTok in 2023.
Delulu in a sentence
- I’m a little delulu: I already picked our wedding song.
- Being delulu about the job is what got me the interview.
Can you say it at work?
Only with people who know you. It’s self-mocking, so say it about yourself, not others.
